Fidelity Life’s financial strength rated excellent 28 years running.

New Zealand’s largest locally owned life insurer Fidelity Life has had its A- (Excellent) financial strength rating* affirmed by AM Best, marking 28 consecutive years since it first received the rating in 1996. 

The outlook for the rating is stable. 

According to AM Best, the rating reflects Fidelity Life’s very strong balance sheet, adequate operating performance, neutral business profile and appropriate enterprise risk management. 

Fidelity Life Chief Financial Officer Simon Pennington says: “Life insurance is all about being there for our customers should the unexpected happen. This rating provides our customers, and their advisers, with an expert, independent view of our financial strength and ability to pay their claims.”
