Fidelity Life House.

Fidelity Life House.

Looking after the place we call home.

Like many New Zealanders, when the time came to ‘move house’ we had a list of non-negotiables. And at the top of that list was to future-proof. We love our unique place in the world and want to protect it for you and those that follow you.

Fidelity Life House communicates our commitment to lowering our impact on the environment, in a big way. Certified as a 6 Green star building, our house exemplifies world leadership in sustainability measures in the beating heart of Auckland city.

Underpinning our 6 stars.

Green star certification takes a holistic approach to measuring environmental impact. Put simply, it confirms that we’ve thought about how our home functions today and how it impacts the environment tomorrow and for life.

Here's how we achieved our 6 stars.

Electricity

Energy.

Our building features a highly efficient thermal facade, high levels of natural light and sensor controlled low energy LED lighting. 184 solar panels provide up to 200,000 KWh per year to power our utilities.

Water3

Water.

We have 110,000 litre rainwater harvesting tanks that provide water for our toilets.

Recycle 2

Waste and recycling.

We have an extensive waste management programme with options for composting and recycling including used batteries. We’re also investigating a worm farm option.

Commute

Commuting.

Our end of trip facilities are well equipped for those who opt to exercise on their way to work and we’re located close to public transport hubs.

Our flexiplace policy.

We’ve considered what working in a contemporary way means and the role flexibility plays. We’re empowering our people to choose where the best place for them to work is, depending on the task or day.

We’ve also joined New Zealand’s journey towards a lower carbon future with the achievement of Toitū carbonreduce certification. Learn more.

Fidelity Life House is our landmark move towards a better New Zealand, for the people who live and work here. It’s the place we’re proud to call home.
