Inside Scoop

Graeme Dingle Foundation

Fidelity Life is proud to support the Graeme Dingle Foundation – an organisation devoted to inspiring school age New Zealand children to reach their full potential through programmes that help build selfesteem, promote good values and which teach valuable life, education and health skills. Current programmes include Kiwi Can, Stars, Project K and Career Navigator.

As well as donating office space in their Auckland head office to GDF, several Fidelity Life staff donate their time as mentors to young people under the FYD programme, encouraging students with low self-confidence to fulfil their potential as they begin NCEA at school.

Fidelity Life underwriter Ariana Foote is one of the staff members who has been mentoring a student for close to a year. “I’ve seen her grow in so many areas, and seen her achieve the goals we’ve set together. My aim is to help her to stay focused and get excited about school, and her future,” says Ariana. “And I’ve learnt a lot about myself as well, always making her a priority, delivering on promises and being a great role model. It’s also about finding a balance – not being a friend or a parent – but someone inbetween.”
